In our opinion, MV Agusta Superveloce 800 is the best motorcycle design of 2019.
It was anticipated at the end of 2018 by the Superveloce Serie Oro and is arrived on the market in the middle of the year 2019 in a limited series of 300 pieces.
At the end of the year, the "basic" version was presented, which retains most of the features of the Serie Oro at a lower price.
The motorbike design is featured by a set of very heterogeneous elements, some inspired from the past such as headlights and front fairing. Some technological parts comes from the F3 800 from which the Superveloce derives, for exemple engine, frame and tank. And still others are components never seen on other motorcycles, such as the position lamps set at the base of the windshield and the fascia placed on the front fairing. This element is probably the most unusual.
The tail is a part that convinced us, most of the latest generation of bikes tend to have a pointed and slender upwards rear, on the contrary the designer of the Superveloce has preferred a soft shape, the passenger seat is well connected to the tail wich ends with a round light.
The geometric simplicity of some elements is inspired by product design, a trend that for some years has been influencing some motorcycle brands. The most noticeable example is the geometric slot on the side fairing which shows a red linear element of the belly pan.
All these elements blend harmoniously in an original and elegant design.
A masterpiece of the Castiglioni Research Center (CRC).
