The design of the new Transalp XL750 was developed by Honda R&D Europe in Rome. The visual impact is that of the first Transalp from the 1980s, including the white version with blue and red graphics and gold-coloured rims. Compared to the past, a slimming cure has been made, the fairing parts are essential and minimal, the lines slender upwards.

The main differences can be seen on the front fairing, no longer in continuity with the side fairings, it's dominated by the triangular headlight derived from other Honda models and a very vertical windscreen. The front fender has an edgy style, similar to the fairing, but perhaps a little too characterizing compared to the sober formal cleanliness of the fairing.

The Transalp XL750, as well as offering a middle ground between the CRF300 Rally and Africa Twin in the Honda Adventure range (in our opinion the CB500X has a different target), fits perfectly into the Adventouring philosophy, a vehicle capable of satisfying the user for all-round use, from urban commuting to globetrotting, with great satisfaction even off-road.

The design according to Honda: In imagining the perfect lines for the Transalp’s bodywork, the Rome R&D designers’ aim was to strike a balance between aerodynamic performance and wind protection at speed matched to a sense of lightness and freedom at low speeds. The concept tagline used throughout was "Friendly Toughness". The result is sleek, simple and clean bodywork. It has a purposeful look and feel, with zero excess and is built tough.

Technical data: parallel twin engine, 755 cc, 92 HP / 67,5 kW (9500 rpm), 75 Nm (7250 rpm), 208 kg (full tank).
